Minor interface gripe

Post by xor »

Not sure whether this has been mentioned before, but at least with a moderate amount of forum-reading I haven't seen it.

The situation:
I'm at Noumea, and I want to pick up some base units from surrounding bases. So I check on the main map, and find a few bases from which I could draw the units, because I don't need them there.
Then I create a task force to pick them up, and try to select the destination.
Boom. The new map display only shows me the base hexes, but the LCU icons aren't there anymore. So I have to guess which of those five bases had the base unit I wanted to pick up.

So there's a loss of information in this display without any real benefit. I have to go back, re-check and memorize the name of the base I wanted to send my transports to. It shouldn't be necessary.

Hey, I love the game and all, just thought I'd mention it.

perhaps the lcu's are removed to increase screen scrolling performance when picking a DH?
