Sneak Peak

As I explained on the HTTR forum we're holding off displaying a lot of screens from COTA until we've finished the new artwork. but just to keep you punters happy here is a screen dump taken from the Foot of the Gods scenario in Greece.

Whoa! Look at the size of that map. Very very nice. [8D]

What are the specs of the computer playing that map? Must be powerful.

Our dev machines are 2.6 GHz P4 IIRC. We haven't had any complaints from the beta testers about slow execution on weaker machines though.

Is there a screen that shows where you are re-fitting or resting units you've exited off the map? If so, can we see that please. Will this one have supply lines or is the main feature the dynamic camp thingy? Are there any other extra specail features in this that you can share? Im not up to date on what's what so so thx for indulging me.

The campaign features are all still in development, we will probably have something to show off in a couple of builds. Paul is doing the coding for that, so he is best placed to answer any questions.

A realistic and detailed Resupply system will not be in COTA. That is slotted for the game after. I am just overhauling the Delay code at the moment. That will be in COTA. This will essentially facilitate leap-frogging of blocking forces and better arty management. As I work my way through the wish list I'll post here. cya

i understand that detailed supply system will not be in cota.

What i want to ask is if the supply can be introduced in cota as a patch in the feature, or if it will be available only for the newer games ,like the battle of the bulge or Normady.

Thank you.

From my understanding all new features added in newer versions will be available for older versions. They will have to come after they have the time to implement them and they will cost a nominal fee. Which I find fair enough and will think of it as an expansion pack for my games. This will increase the playability of all titles I buy and makes the investments worth it.
