What has been happening lately?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

What has been happening lately?

Post by Dragoon 45 »

I just returned from a tour in AFGHANISTAN and needless to say I was out of touch for an extended period of time. What has been happening with my all time favorite war game and is there any other new games out that might approach SPWaW in its quality?

Since you were away, 8.2 was released, but it has a few cosmetic blemishes.

They might get resolved eventually.

I like 8.2 myself, but, a person can always opt for earlier versions.

The combined Mega Campaign package is an option for download if you had not the pleasure of them yet.

Steel Panthers World War 2 (SPWW2) and Steel Panthers Modern Battle Tank (SPMBT) both from SP Camo, also got major new releases, so you will need to go look in on them as well if you have had a liking for SP Camo's versions in the past.

Otherwise, I think the biggest news item here at Matrix Games, might be the digital release of War in the Pacific (if that game intrigues you).

I just returned from a tour in AFGHANISTAN.....

Congrats and thank you for your contribution.

The game is fun. I'm not sure of all the changes brought about by 8.2. I wish I could tell you more than that.

Again, congrats and thanks.

Welcome home Dragoon 45. We appreciate your service. If you would like a copy of the game on a CD, there are several people who are sending out CD's with SPWAW 8.2, SPH2H mod, and maybe even the SPWW2 versions. If you can't find a link to one, send me a message and I would be glad to send you a copy.
God Bless,

Welcome back Dragoon 45, from the land of the warlords[;)] If I were you I would keep my copy of 7.1. I like 8.2 and H2H ( 8.2 combat is more deadly and the OOB's have been change quite a bit ) if you want a CD instead of downloading let me know and I will send you one.

I would also like to thank you for being there for the rest of us. Your service is very much appreciated by those of us sitting here on our comfortable butts playing war games while you were putting your butt in harm's way in the real thing. You and all in the military have my most sincere appreciation and support.
