any WIF'ers in Toronto area?

World in Flames is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. World In Flames is a highly detailed game covering the both Europe and Pacific Theaters of Operations during World War II. If you want grand strategy this game is for you.

any WIF'ers in Toronto area?

Post by IronManBeta »

I'm just curious, are there any World in Flames players in this forum that live in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area? This would include CWIF players and CWIF beta testers and by 'Toronto area' I mean everything within 90 minutes of the CN tower.

I would expect that there would be more than a few, but they seem to keep a low profile.

Thanks, Rob.

Rob,

There are 3 of us who are very experienced WIF players in and around Toronto. We rarely play now due to work and family but have spent 100s of hours playing every version.

Drop me a note if you want to discuss further,

Rob

I have played this Yohan, I have kicked him around the board many times, usually there is alot of ya ... u lucky kind of stuff ... can't beat die rolls is the usual favorite .... especially from the defensive specialist J MacPherson who keeps building all his pointy units, then they look so good he refuses to bring them to battle.

P.S. So we gonna beat up on this new guy ...!!!!!

Ah how true ... the secret intel you gave to your partner as I played Ger was my downfall.
Never thought my wee brother would tell people how I play ... lol , should have known it .. twas mt own fault ... [&o]

I remember we started in 1941 .. barbarosa and the freakin brits invaded France shortly thereafter , twas a great battle but I needed to relieve the pressure and could not ..

Lots of fun though and lookin forward to PBEM.

I am not as experienced in anything as I want to be, but then again, I am sort of experienced in almost everything :)

And I live 90 minutes North East of the CN Tower as requested.

And hell I would almost chip in on your gas to get your grognard butt in for an occasional game experience.

I own WiF and thus you don't need yours.
I also own a great many other wargames.

And here is the cool part, I own a home that sees wargaming as worthy of a permanent storage room facility.

I leave my games set up as long as I darn well feel like.

Ain't no cat or dog here either.

And knocking over a wargame is a death sentence too :)

Ah Hexed,

The good old days. Room to keep a game up, time to get together...

Nothing beats it but at least with Computer WiF and EiA coming out it can replace some of that lost time.
