With all the attention currently being lavished on that WITP "craze", its good to know that this site is still in operation, if only for basic problem debugging. I was stumped when there were 2 CVEs which didn't seem to be flying any aircraft, inspite of my orders for doing so. I was going to log a complaint with the Matrix help desk over this, but decided to check other posts on this subject first. What do you know; some months back there was a discussion of a similar problem and the answer was that the number of planes on a carrier in excess of 10% of its capacity will shut down its ability to fly missions. This information has saved both Matrix and myself a lot of negative interaction, and is showing this forum to be a good support tool for UV.[:)]

Yes, in fact there are a few CVEs that arrive from Pearl with too many aircraft and they do not fly. Test this out by placing fighters on CAP and see if any fatigue accrues. You will have to fiddle around with the squadrons on these to get them to work. Generally by flying one of the three squadrons off for land based duty. Wierd that they will not work with the default load.
