Climb rates

Post by Hipper »

Hi there

Trying to add a few aircraft to the database and am having some difficulty trying to decide which rate of climb to use, should it be initial ie from sea level or to a specified height... cant decide which was used in the official database, looks to vary to me !

any opinions out there

cheers

Alot of reference material (that I am looking at now) uses 0 - 5000 feet. Sometimes meters too.
My e-troops don't unload OVER THE BEACH anymore, see:
Amphibious Assault at Kota Bharu
TF 85 troops securing a beachhead at Kota Bharu, 51,75
whew! I still feel better.

It is used pretty much to determine the odds of a fighter being sent up to intercept an inbound raid.

There is no real solution for this one ... average it out to be reasonable with respect to other aircraft already in the database.

This is one of the problems of adding things. They need to be added in *relation* to what already exists, which may not always be right for *other* reasons of how the game engine works.
