Auto assigning ships to a new TF you create

Post by ogrv643 »

Hi there. There are a few things I don't get, and this is one of them...

At one point in the tutorial, I could create a TF at my base... Lets say a TF with Escort as task.
And the computer it self would assign a few appropriate ships to it.

Same with "air escort", or however it's called. It would assign a few carriers to the TF, allong with a number of destroyers and stuff.

But then I restarted the game, and guess what?!
The computer won't assign any ships anymore by it self. [:(]

Like is this a bug, or...? [&:]

Wow. I'm reading the manual. That's a first...

Anyways. I'm reading about this auto TF ship selection and I guess there is a bug. Cause it doesn't work all the time. [:(]

I don't use the auto-transport system...it doesn't work like I want it to work.

He's not talking about the auto-supply system. When you create a new TF one of the options in the screen where you select mission type is "Automatic Ship Selection". I believe this is what he is referring to.

Personally, I've never used it so I have no idea about actually fixing the problem. [:'(]

yes, I have had this too, though I do think they know about it.

when I first got the game, I could do everything in the manual, went to sleep, came back and the auto-TF option wasnt even there, and no way to do it, have never had one with the allies at all.

Heh... it was working again today.
But I bet it won't in a minute, when I start the game up again.

BTW
I really love these kind of games.
I remember having a game like this on the SNES I think.
Of course this one is much more advanced. [:)]

I'm not sure if it was for the SNES or the NES. I had them both so NES is possible too.
PTO...sounds right [:)]

I loved that game.
I love this one even more. But I have sooooo many questions about this game.
Especially about transports and support. [:(]

All that proves is that you've started the program. [:'(]

More seriously, there has been several discussions about loading ships. If you run a search on some appropriate terms you will probably find more posts/threads than you want to think about. [8D]
