OT, Anyone know this song title/singer

Post by Warhorse »

I've just turned 40, well tomorrow, and am waxing nostalgic! I know there are some musicians here, and lots of folks in my generation, hoping someone knows the answer to this There was a song in the early '70's, that had a line in it like this, .."who loves you pretty baby, who's gonna help you thru the night.." Ring any bells folks, I would like to get this track somewhere, but alas, know neither the author, or the title, just aways liked the song.. Ohh Albyyyyy...!!

I am not sure if the sentence from the tune is accurate
it sounds like a line from a Beach Boys tune vaguely
I LIKE that my life bothers them,
Why should I be the only one bothered by it eh.

The darn mp3 is about 5.5mb; I checked a few free hosting sites and they all seem to have a 5mb limit. If you have WinMX just type 'who loves you' in the search field and several matches come up; I tried one and was able to d/l it in a little over a minute.

You can also try Audio Galaxy.
The Audio Galaxy Satellite

It´s what I use to find those illusive tunes only found on vinyl in these CD/DVD times

Why hasnt someone mentioned Morpheus or KaZaa only the two best ways to search for anything. Music, documents, software you name it.
If you cant find it with them stop looking cause it aint out there.

Warhorse: I'll send you the mp3. Will your e-mail box hold a 5.5mb file?

I use Morpheus and Kazaa, but for MP3 it´s not as good as AG. BTW, the mentioned peer2peer apps use the same servers, so anyone interested in trying them out only need one of them. Personally I prefer Morpheus

@ Tracer, thanks guy for the offer, but I think Netscape might take a dump for me with 5mb!! I'll try a few more things, then if I don't get it, I'll go get the 'best of', saw a lot of other tunes by them, that I had forgotten, that I liked also!!

@Les the Sarge & pax27- Thanks guys, I'll try those!
@Cap't pixel-Happy B-day!!!

I thought they ran off different servers. I get much better hits off kazaa than bearshare, limewire, or audiogalaxy.

I recently met a chap on Morpheus.

Wanted to download a lot of stuff (was looking for .pdf files of Dragon Magazines at the time).
Rather than use the usual way of looking for each file individually I arranged thanks to his suggestion to get it all from him (was nice that he was willing to offer it, being polite on Morpheus pays great dividends).
He suggested I download the free AOL Instant Messenger software. I normally hate AOL (and all their annoying icky positive advertisements too).

But regardless of the nasty things people say about AOL its the best way to get fast file transfer I have found yet (where common methods are concerned). Instead of the mediocre speeds that are typical out there, I was able to enjoy really fast speeds. And the size of the file is not relevant.

Just thought I would mention that the file size doesnt count when using AOL Instant Messenger, for people wanting to send a large file to another person. My e mail isnt set to accept large files either (so I never use it for that obviously enough).
