MY 2nd AAR- 4 weeks of hell

Post by marky »

for my second scenario for UV, i played the "4 weeks of hell" scenario

in it, the japs try to reinforce and retake the canal, and drive the great and noble marines into the sea

first thing

i noticed i was in trouble

so

i started flying in supplies
assembling reinforcement troop convoys
putting together off/def sub ops
transferring fighters and bombers to henderson
and sent warships to attack and defend the coast of the canal

there was a carrier battle

i believe i won

with carrier based and lba, i attacked wat amounted to a mini death star- 4 flattops

i had 3

all 3 took damage, saratoga was sent back to pearl with heavy damage
enterprise and hornet spent sum time repairing at luganville

andi didnt really see the death star again

so they withdrew to repair

it was later CONFIRMED that Shokaku SANK[:D]

all 3 of my carriers survived, tho i never saw saratoga again, due to he short length of the scen and the repair time

in this scen, i used subs and pt boats to DEVASTATING effect

i parked 12 subs off tassafaronga

and they immeadiately started slaughtering jap ships

my pts had a good run too

near the end of the scen, i had almost completely secured the canal, and in november!

near the end, i sent a sub and 4 pts to the NW, to intercept jap barges which were coming down the slot

i sank quite a few

then, the end came

i got a screen that said=

ALLIED VICTORY LEVEL
DECISIVE ALLIED VICTORY
FINAL SCORE
JAPANESE - 1364
ALLIED - 2065

i looked over the loss reports. and i was a bit suprised

during the course of the campaign, 28 japanese ships were sunk, at a price of only 5 allied ships sunk

allied ship losses -

4 DDs
PT 68

japanese ship losses -

9 APs
1 PC
1 PG
10 DDs
I-4
I-7
I-26
I-174
CL Nagara

and finally...

CV SHOKAKU - CONFIRMED[:D]

15 allied and 21 japanese ships were damaged

aircraft losses -

ALLIED - 136, including 13 B17s
JAPANESE - 364 -

INCLUDING 111 Zeros!

In Short...

another victory for Admiral Marky
