SPWAW Upgrade Version ID

Post by huhrlass »

Hello, I downloaded version 5.2, 6.1, 7.0 and wanted to know that after installing the updates will the opening screen change the version number of the game I am playing? I installed up to version 6.0 and when I started the game the version still stated 5.1? Is this correct?
thanks

Looks like maybe you have been bit by the install wizard bug. This only applies if you did not use the default installation directory when you first installed the game.

When performing the upgrade, it asks you to choose the installation directory. After you choose it, it will add '/Steel Pantehers World at War/' at the end of the line in the text box. Remove this part.

I STRESS: This only applies if you changed the default install directory upon initial installation of the game.

Also, reboot you engine every time you make an upgrade... don't wait to the last patch to reboot.
