Support in short supply, allies Jan/42

Post by corona »

After a needed restart (*sigh*) I'm solidifying the Pearl - OZ route by building a major base at Canton island, supplying Noumea, expanding Port Moresby, and reinforcing Rabaul. It seems at 3 of 4 locations (and any other expansion points I've considered) I'm always short of support. Is it helpful to split up the engineering battalion based at Pearl and ship them to my bases? Do I grab base forces from isolated (ie. low priority) bases? Do you recieve base forces as reinforcement as the campaign moves on?

As the allies, you will recieve more than you can shake a stick at. Just check your arrival schedule. But as a IJ player, I mive alot of Base forces forward from non-priority bases.

If your playing scenario 15..... it is 2 february on my game and the US has recieved several base forces and AV forces. 51st for swpac, 71st for southpac, a set for central and a set for North pac. Not to many engineers this early though, I took the two engineers from San Francisco and changed them to central Pacific and am using them to build up bases and also the one from Pearl Harbor.
Favoritism is alive and well here.
