"Training" awards in missions

Post by Reliable Royce »

In some of the missions and campaigns you can be awarded extra DPs for completing the mission...

How can I set that up in the TOS Map Editor?

You can't with the edior that comes with the game. The full-editor is still a work in progress. If your 'serious' about making some missions/campaigns; let us know and we'll put you in contact with Chaarman (the person who is doing a great job with the full editor)

Any chance someone could give us a breakdown of the capalities of the full editor? I've come up with a few good map concepts (well in my opinion), but the current editor can't handle them. I'm happy to wait for the release as I don't think anyone is in a rush to hand it out to any Tom, Dick or Harry, but it would be nice to know what to expect.

Besides the placement of terrain and titans and respective characteristics, and various global settings, there are a number of events (21) that can be defined either in a given hex or area or at a set time. I'm not going to enumerate those events, I'll let Henrik or Christian do that if they feel it's ok to.

That would be nice... Please hook me up.

I'm trying to make a Mission that takes place in a very large city. I find the current editor a little difficult to work with moving buildings around (or maybe its just me[;)]) If I can get the city to work, then I would consider creating a campaign that would involve street fighting all the way through.

Way back when I played Battletech, my cousin and I would cover a 4 x 8 foot table with a very large city and play for days (yes days- we would play 2-3 hours / day until the battle was finsihed).

So should I expect an email? A URL to download it?
