Well, that's ONE way to fix the sound issue...

Post by Damien Thorn »

I have been using UV sounds since the 1.20 patch because the original sounds crashed my computer (and sounded like R2D2 the rest of teh time). Well, finally I decided I'd had enough of the second rate sounds (and some sounds were still missing), so I bought a new computer. Now my sound works fine. So let's see:

$70 ( or $80, I forget) for WitP,
$1100 for projector to play on my wall,
$1300 for new computer.

Assuming I play for 10 years, that's about 250 a year. Still not too bad a deal. [:D]

Projector??

Oh.. my. Cool!

Being able to have real war-room size maps up there (and the ability to read the fonts! [:)])

Over the top D, but very cool nonetheless...

Hmm, the ability to read the fonts....

I wonder if work would mind if I borrowed one of their projectors for a few months...

I did that a couple of weekends ago to show movies in my back yard. I hooked up a small DVD player and a Bose Wave radio and it was drive in thearter in the back yard.

Hmm I wonder if my wife will mind if I move the computers to the back yard[:D]

Thats what we use here in Monterey at DLI. PC hooked to an on the wall screen (smartboard). The screen on the wall is touch-screen, use special markers to draw, can show video, yada yada yada. Too bad most of the instructors are scared of it :-)
