Okay, I"m trying to setup sensors so some ships have more powerfull sensors, and some ships are next to impossible to lock onto(minbari) but I cant figure out this formula



PCS MODIFIED BY EMCON

AFFECTED BY SENSOR POWER AND DAMAGE LEVEL



RANGE TO TARGET

MAXIMUM SENSOR RANGE

return =
cross_section *
effectiveness * ( 1
-
range
/
limit )

Where does ACS come in? how do you know if you get a return? does it have to be positive and by how much to lock onto?

I dotn want to use detec because thats a cheap way and it will prevent that races ships from also locking on.


btw, this game REALLY needs the ability to manually fire your wepons, not just straight forward, but like freelancer where you goto the external view and point where you want to fire, otherwise manual firing is totaly pointless

What Mehrunes has listed is direct from Milo. I don't think ACS is used at all.
