Sound Issue SPWAW 6.1

Post by Akmatov »

I recently upgraded to 6.1 and added the HUGE sound upgrade. Now I have the sound vanishing periodically, even though all the sound switchs, except music, are on.

Is this a known problem? Is there something I can do to fix it or maybe did I do something wrong in the upgrade?

Any thoughts would be appreciated, the sound adds a lot to the experience.

There was a post about this sometime in the past 30 days. Without the search function, you'll just have to dig it out unless - somebody else remembers what the deal was. However, for starters, delete steel.prf from your SAVE folder, reboot and see if that helps. You might also start the game directly from mech.exe.

I remember posting on a subject like this. Someone wrote about the background sound disapearing. I´ve found that moving the mouse over a fire or stream/gully cuts away all other sound, and what you can do is go to preferences and turn the sound/music off and then on again, and it will start again. This is something that have worked for me.
