Patches

I down loaded the game (win 98 se) and got the "772" message. Was directed to download the patches which appeard on my desktop as Word files that I can do nothing with. Help me, please.

disregarding the icon associated with the files, what does the filename look like...

that is, what is the name of the file you downloaded including the bit after the dot...
