AI bug or just stupid AI?

Post by Reluctant Kamikazi »

Ver 1.21
Scen 15
Historic AI.
Early 42.
I (allies) had four carriers at Rabaul protecting it from LB's from Truk while my land based fighters were uncrated (oh soooooo slowly). The Jap AI knew the carriers were there. After a while I send my carriers up to Truk to kill some transports. When I hit the port LO AND BEHOLD I blast the snot out of four CV's and two CVL's. This certainly surprised me AND changed the balance of power in the Pacific.

"Historic" AI is bascally a newbie tool to help learn the game. If you want to play a game for keeps, go either hard or very hard ai.

No wonder I am kicking the Japs in the slats all over the place.
And here I was the second coming of His Lordship Douglas MacArthur!

Thanks
