Gary Grigsby's World At War gives you the chance to really run a world war. History is yours to write and things may turn out differently. The Western Allies may be conquered by Germany, or Japan may defeat China. With you at the controls, leading the fates of nations and alliances. Take command in this dynamic turn-based game and test strategies that long-past generals and world leaders could only dream of. Now anything is possible in this new strategic offering from Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games.

I hope that we will have the option of using NATO standard icons, as is common in most wargames. I detest the little horsies, tanks and men.

The artwork is moddable - I'm sure you'll see quite a few different sets once the game is released.

I've been dying for the NATO mod for Combat Mission. I detest actually seeing a tank rumbling over a hill, I'd rather see a box with an oval inside.

So, if the tank gets hit, do you put a line through it to make it mech inf? [:D]

Actually many of the symbols were in use long before NATO. NATO simply standardised them for the militaries of its members....and the wargaming community :-)
