Massacare over Kweiyang

Post by LittleJoe »

The lightning and thunder rattled the skies over southern China, the Weather had been like this snice the war began in this region, Pilots grew used to it and only aborted missions in extreme conditions. They had i suppose become verterans of flying in hazardous weather such as this.

As the clouded sky was lit up by a flash of thunder, 27 siloettes(sp) appeared flying in formation, these Japanese Sonia Dive bombers rattled along to there destination, to Dive bomb Kweiyang airfield where Avg fighter pilots were suspected to be grounded. The AVG had been a thorn in the side of Japanese Zero pilots, the "infreior" planes they flew did not do justice to the flying capiabilites of these American Mercenaries, the Allied top pilot board was littered with kills from pilots in Avg squadron, Japanese high command of the China Expeditionary force sought to put a end to this, by putting increasing presure on central China airfields, this mission, was the tip of that spearhead.

"We're getting close to Kweiyang, lowering alttitude." The leader of this Dive bomber squadron commanded (Obviously in translated english [;)])

The sonias went downards through the cloud cover to gain a sight of there target.

"Still no sight of our Escourt" The commander grumbled

" We must push on none the less, the Americans are probably still sleeping!" He jested obvviously not aware of Chinese fighters gaining altitude below them.

"Enemy fighters!, take evasive actions, we must drive through for the Empreror!" Where the last brave words spoken by the Commander, before all contact was lost with the Sonia Dive bombers over Kweiyang.
