Full Strength Air Units

Post by lucascuccia »

Earlier I had posted a question about airgroups not expanding past 50 planes, reguardless of planes in the pool. I was told to split the units. That worked like a charm. However, medium bomber units have 64 planes (4 squadrons of 16). When split 3 ways to build, the group only grows to 3 squadrons of 21 or 63 planes. Will I ever get the 64th plane.

Just being petty

Generally, if you divide the air unit when it has all 50 of its aircraft in a ready status, you will eventually end up with 63 a/c (3 x 21).

If you divide the air unit when some are damaged, you may end up with some variance in the final total (63, 64, 65 etc). Of course, anything over the air unit max will go into reserve.

The one way you are guaranteed of getting 64 a/c (at least for a time) is to upgrade to the next model. Whenever you do that to a BG with 64 a/c max, you will get exactly the 64 a/c your petty little heart desires.
