What do I do in the mean time?

Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

What do I do in the mean time?

Post by cckcdw »

Ok, so I have refrained from asking the perennial [when will EiA be out?] for all the time I have lurked.

So now I am trying to keep myself busy until the release date.

Can you guys recommend another matrixgames game which may keep me busy for a while?

I have never played a matrixgames game before, but have been wargaming for 19 years, with an emphasis on Napoleonics and Modern Naval.

I figured a game to play in the mean time would get me used to Matrix interfaces and keep my mind off trawling the forum looking for a release date for EiA.

I would prefer a game that I can play either on my machine against AI or via email against others since my work involves a heavy amount of travel and long hours.

Play War in the Pacific. It's a great strategic level wargame, especially PBEM. Takes a little while to pick up the details so play a few rounds against the computer first.

You are lucky, once every 7 days...we could not get less than every 15 days due to our girlfriends...:(

They dont understand why we meet togheter 12 people to conquer, declare wars and everything else for around 7 hours in my garage every 15 days!!!

About the forum, well, actually I look it in the morning, before lunch and before closing the office.... [;)]

I bought War in the Pacific. I spent a week playing the first turn of the same battle, finally I am starting to get into it.

It looks like a good game. And since I am a Napoleonic Freak, I guess it is good to broaden my horizons.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I am becoming a dedicated Matrix Games fan. I may have to start collecting them all.
