Have placed one 21in. torpedo into port side of Yamato class battleship SE of Mindinao. Depth charge attack avoided, Seadragon undamaged.

Believe enemy battleship heavily damaged from earlier action.

Summary of Recent Actions in SOPAC Area

Enemy radio intercepts confirm sinking of enemy fleet carriers Hiyo and Shokaku, CA Myoko.

Enemy activity in Solomon Sea greatly reduced due to heavy damage inflicted on enemy surface forces menacing Milne Bay area.

CV's Saratoga and Enterprise en route to Sydney for repairs. CV Wasp to remain in SOPAC area of operations.
