NEW FEATURES for next Patch

1) The automatic victory conditions may now be over ridden. In games of less than 365 days, the player must play until the number of turns in the scenario has been played. In games of greater than 364 days, if one side achieves an automatic victory, a new option is available on the end game screen, “Continue Playing”. If selected the game will then continue to the number of turns in the scenario have been played.

But I want a toggle to be selected at the beginning of the game!

Just teasing! You asked......

Great news, by the way. Now I can prepare my outer defenses against those yankee imperialist dogs who come to destroy our culture and pollute our gene pool by forcing themselves on our women!

Thank you for listening to customer imput, even if some of it was down right rude. This will be a nice feature to have for those who want to use it. Now get to cover before you and the patch get blown away by the huricane. [&o]

I really don't see why the victory points can't be changed with the editor, set the odds 3 to 1, 5 to 1, 20 to 1, etc.

Possibly because the victory level criteria may not be stored in the scenario database files? Apart from that it could well be that some thought has gone into the setting of the VP points for all the bases so that the victory levels give a good reflection of a game won. A toggle has been added to allow players to continue if they so desire, any players that wish to play to different ratios could always try a quick calculation, couldn't they?

Many thanks, Kid. It's great to see how this game keeps getting even better.

Hmmmm.... By continuing the game will we be able to control the Viet Minh and fight against imperialistic France. Maybe re-fight Dien Bien Phu in '54?
