You should check ebay for the Iraqi arifacts that are being sold by American soldiers. You should check with the Red Cross to find how many Iraqi women have been raped or gang raped by American soldiers.

Conquering another country because we think we are better or because we want to steal their resources is what the Nazis did. America is heading down the same path.

The Japanese names are staying probably because of your request.
rips me up hearing people support conquest.
Don't know what to say.

UB

I was not saying that the us or the marine were an army in trouble what I was commenting on was realy the bad habit of the british army in WW2 of creating an alphabet of special units to do "special tasks" to the detriment of the overall quality of the infantry. It was quite refreshing to find an infantry force that was willing to go the other way and re roll special units back into infantry divisions

The worst example of this of course was wingate and his Chindits which were created from the experienced British 70th division and essentially wasted, While normal infantry units were perfectly capable of being put on airmobile scales of equipment and airlifted into battle. Slim's book defeat into victory is very caustic at the end about "special forces" except on a very small scale.

If you have any links to interesting sites please feel free to post them My general Knowledge of the US side of things in the Pacific is sadly lacking what are the best books in current print about the marines in the pacific, I've read "no bended Knee" about the 2nd on Guadalcanal

I especially like the bit where they are persuading the dock workers in NZ to unload their ships.... these sort of delays that are never moddeled in games

all I was trying to do in this thread is get some discussion going about objective criteria of rating of units, as I said before I suspect the higher experience levels of the Marines represents the Amphibious training so they can carry out landings efficently. Otherwise their experience levels seem a bit high for troops that had not seen large scale combat.

cheers

Yea, 4.0 is out, i heard you had been dragged into this by 2ndACR!
The RCAF had Bolingbrokes but they are not in the database and the droop nose/solid nose/Bolingbroke/Blenheim1F variants were so slightly different. I do not know what to do with these. I think more of the droop nose were used early on in India... problem is i do not have a great source on the RAF bomber squadrons. If you have any suggestions email me and i will put it in.
