Hey You!

Since your busy with COTA can you guys revisit your planned releases? I know some ppl were unhappy with the prospect of yet another Battle of the Bulge. Any chance you can put this on the back burner and jump straight to Normandy or The Eastern Front?

I think the logic in choosing Battles from the Bulge was to give each side (Axis/Allied) the chance to pummel each other. I disagree with this thought process. I’d much prefer the releases to be interesting, fun and challenging – not even steven in who gets to be the attacker/defender. I’m not saying BFTB wont be, but its just been done to death and the Eastern Front or even Normandy would be great with the HTTR engine.

Ideally you can just put everything on the shelf after COTA and give us all of Europe 1940-45 close combat 3 campaign style. Spice it up with smaller scenarios if you want but make the Grand Daddy a 5 year mega-campaign of HTTR goodness, k? [:)]

Benelux, France and Norway would even more cool. Allies did some serious mistakes during defending Belgium. And there were paradrops too. [8D] I affraid Poland would be one-sided battle and not so interesting. Eastern front would be cool too.

PS. Added new big Bastogne map to my coming scenario. Check it now.

Hey, stop posting and get back to work on the Bastogne scenario ! :-)

Seriously, I checked out your site and am very impressed. The map looks really good (you just have to love good looking maps <fetisch?>) and I can't wait to try out the scenario :-)

Sessine, I'm working on it! I do these posts from my work only. [;)]

There are few slight delays with my project. I'm waiting to receive couple more books I ordered this week in order to complete order of battle for German and US. US OOB is almost ready (98%), with German side I have more problems. Also I changed time period to start 00:01 19th December instead 06:00, that's the time battle really started. It's also more fun to have race for Bastogne. 101st regiments arrive to the scene during night few miles northwest from Bastogne and first elements from 2nd Panzer and Panzer Lehr divisions are arriving few miles east from Bastogne (somewhere around Longvilly). Combat Command B and R are already fighting, so fighting for Bastogne will start after a while. This was the one of the reason I made bigger map. Longvilly battle 18-19th night is really the beginning for Battle for Bastogne. Stay tuned, I will add more news to my site about the progress. Scenario will be ready in next few weeks, I can't give specific day right yet. But I'm building the scenario almost every day, speacially during weekends progress is rapid.

El Savior,

I'm really quite well versed in both German WW2 OOB's and TOE's both with regards to the Bulge battle and the rest of the war (I have read far too much about it.. :-). Perhaps I could help you? If you have the time, you're welcome to PM me the problems/questions you have and I can try to answer your questions.

A long time ago, on a board far, far, away (Battlefront, to be precise) the people's choice from Panther's options at the time was "Patton's Charge". Nobody has come up with a better idea yet, except possibly CotA itself.
