Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

How about changing the scale and do a day turn corps integrety grouped divisional unit strength battle for France 44?
My bet on will happen will be a MArket garden scenario..
anyone?
I am talking official released games not the many user made mods, How about Stalingrad? Manny already is planning his Kursk scenario to be "ported " to the new engine..

The next add on that I'll like to see... is the 4 battles around Kharkov.[;)]

That sounds great, and would be small enough to use the current scale imo

Kharkov would be a great choice. One basic map, with different playing situations due to weather, forces and dates.

Stalingrad would be interesting as well. I suppose this would need an inset map of a smaller scale for the in city fighting. There is a board game that does this with the battle of Berlin that I would buy if I had any room-thankfully there's computers and SSG/Matrix, Battlefront, HPS etc...

I vote for Kharkov as well...........Typhoon would be cool. Per Gregor in a thread in the comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.war-historical newsgroup, it'll be Italy or parts thereof:

The next game will be Sicily, Salerno, Anzio. With our 'new' engine we
can have much bigger maps, and can get all the relevant parts of the
Italian mainland on one map, allowing for some very interesting
possibilities in scenario creation. (Sicily fits easily on its own
map).

Our record in predicting when games will be finished isn't too flash,
so there's no date at all attached to this, it will just be the next
game that we're working on.

thp..
MAybe we could work on a user scen of this, but the maps would be a pain... hopefully the nice folks at run5/ssg would help.. hint hint
Rob has a nice scenarios for sicilly that probably will be potrted over, and MAnny with Kursk.
I agree that MArket garden, Stalengrad and Karkov would be fun...

I keep dreaming of an adaptation to mirror the old Atlantic wall boardgame with divisions and corps as the unit size... any other thoughs... how about France 1940 blitz?

@freeboy...you have excellent taste[:D]. France 1940 was my ABSOLUTE favorite boardgame back in the day, France 1940, Market Garden and Africa 1941/42 would be gaming nirvana[X(]. Stalingrad..."always a good decision"[;)]
