Game crashing to desktop...

Hi all just bought this and installed it.

Trying to play the tutorial senario but whenever the seabattle begins (the screen that shows both sets of ships firing & hits etc) within a minute or two the game always crashes back to the desktop.

Any ideas anyone[&:] I am using the 2.30 version and have Windows XP.

have you tried any of the other scenarios?

Also I gather if you just bought the game it was already patched up to version 2.3? Or did you patch it to that level yourself?

Thanks for your reply. It came patched to 2.3 on the disc.

I have got round the problem simply by turning off the action sequences (lets be honest, if you watched them all each game would last five years[;)])
