C&C problems on XP

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

C&C problems on XP

Post by Joe »

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a pc and one of the reasons is to play SPWAW. I love C&C and I would like to know more about this XP problem with C&C.

Does it affect all forms of game: campaigns, MC:s, email, hotseat, scenarios... ?

Does this problem exist on any other MS-OS?

How can one spot the problem, crash... ?

Is this problem going to be fixed... running for cover.

From what I have read it only affects the MC's. It affects xp and I believe 2000.

The only known fix is running under a different operating system like 98se.

I think when Paul originally posted about this, he admitted that they didn't know what in 2000 was causing it, so they didn't know what to fix.
thanks, John.

It also has problems when running under NT, I belive. But as John G stated it only affects MC battles, all other types should be problem free with C&C on.

Yup, this is correct. it only affects teh MC, and unfortunately we have not been able to figure why running the MC code causes the crash
