Battles In Normandy is Available!

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

Battles In Normandy is Available!

Post by Erik Rutins »

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the hour or two of confusion with DR. Things appear to be worked out now and a live, correct Battles in Normandy entry should be in our store already or within moments of my posting this. We've double-checked it offline and everything's working as far as we can test.

For customers who ordered in the brief window when the incorrect version was made live by DR (as far as our database shows, there were 14 of you), please do the following:

1. Go to www.findmyorder.com
2. Enter your order information and request a download link
3. You should get a valid serial number and a link to download Battles in Normandy.
4. That's it! You should be all set.

For customers that have not placed orders yet, please go ahead.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING GAME ON DEMAND: Our now ex-account manager caused some problems that have not yet been resolved with respect to Game on demand. It looks like these options will only be available NEXT week. We didn't want to wait any longer, so the digital download only version is available now. If you already ordered the digital download version and want a game box, please watch here for an announcement that it is available and how to contact us. If you want a game on demand and have not yet ordered, my best advice is to wait until next week. We can retroactively add a Game on Demand to your order, but it is a slower manual process vs. ordering online once it's available. We will also not be able to add this until we've worked out what our ex-account manager left unfinished and how to finish it most quickly. This process is aggressively being pursued right now.

So, Battles in Normandy is up and available, but only for Digital Download right now. The file size is around 200Mb and Game on Demand will be available next week.

If you have any questions regarding your order, please post in this thread or e-mail us at support@matrixgames.com. Thank you for your patience.

Regards,

- Erik

Pumba,

We went to Game on Demand without increasing the price over the older CD on Demand, so it will be the same. $9.99 for Game on Demand, which will include a full color DVD game box and a printed color CD inside.

I just finished the download. I started at 3:30. The file is, SPWAWGE-SETUP-DR.EXE. Is this the wrong file? It doesn't sound right. I haven't tried to install yet. [&:]

Treale,

Yes, I'm sorry but you're one of the customers who ordered and downloaded during an hour or so that DR had the wrong link up before we made the release announcement. Please go to www.findmyorder.com, enter your order info and re-download. The good news is that the real download is only around 200Mb rather than over 600Mb, so you should have it fairly quickly.

Erik,

sorry to bother you with that, but Marc was referring to a "printing on demand" option.
Will this option soonly be available for BiN?Should I wait for its availibility or it will only be available in several weeks or months?
Thanks.

Pumba,

We should have the BiN manual available "Print on Demand" through the Cafe Press store (the Merchandise link above) sometime next week with any luck.

Erik,

Thanks for all your support.[&o][&o][&o]
I get a last question for tonight: will the printed manual be shipped from Europe for European customers or it will only be sent directly from the US?

What did I download, the German version of Steel Panthers? Oh, the serial number remained the same. I'll try the install here in a minute. Hope it works [:-]

If I were in Florida, I'd buy you a drink just as consolation for the weather you've been having! Glad you got the download working, let me know if you have any more problems.
