convoys dispand themselves

Post by zed »

COnvoys at San FRancisco dispand themselves w/o my assistance. I create them, set the destination. Next turn, I find them resting comfortably in port. I thought it was caused by auto resupply, but I turned that off for all bases and the same thing keeps happening.

Known bug. Make sure that the NE map sector is under human, not computer, control.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

I've been running into similar problems at Sydney, Brisbane, Bombay, and Karachi. WTFO?

I've never had that problem...never.

But check to make sure each convoy is:
1) under HUMAN control, AND -
2) make sure AUTO DISPAND is OFF

Never let the computer do anything for you!!!!!!These are known issues. Turn off all AI control.

Get used to running everything yourself. You can use small CS convoys though between bases.

It happens to the Japanese as well. I recall having to load the same AK 3 or 4 times in Saigon before it left for the HI....

I have never seen this, and I play japanese exclusively. But I also do not use the AI for anything. Not even CS convoys. I do it all myself and shepperd my flocks to where they need to go.[:-]

Are you allowing the AI to pick the ships in the convoy? I've seen the AI sometimes set it to autodisband when you allow it to auto select the ships in the convoy.

It was without AI help. I had specific ships that I needed to perform specific tasks... the one TF would load resources for IIRC two or three days then unload and never depart.

I was having a similar problem, but only when it came to loading air & LCUs. The only way I could get it to stop was clicking on "do not unload", and haven't had a problem since.
