Almost there
Here are the last few items to check before getting out the next patch.
Features:
1) The targeting routines have been rewritten. Fires onboard no longer increase the chances of a ship being selected as a target in the day time, as much.
This should reduce the over targeting issue.
2) Motor Torpedo Boats (PT Boats) are now much more likely to attack and be attacked by screening ships, than the ships being screened.
This should take care of the PT boats killing off your BBs and CVs all the time.
3) Anti-submarine warfare (ASW) routines have been rewritten. Allied ASW vessels should not be quite as effective before the middle of 1943 and American submarines should be a bit more resistant to Japanese ASW attacks after the middle of 1943.
What can I say you talked me into it.[;)]

There's smoke in the cockpit and gray in my hair.
The tracers look fine as a strafin' we go.
But, brother, we're TOO God damn low...

RE: Almost there
Sure wish I could have seen the super PT boats and the super ASW before it gets redone. I am up to April 1942 and can say I have seen no such creature. I have lost more ships on ASW patrols then I have sunk subs with them.
Favoritism is alive and well here.
RE: Almost there
Good work.

RE: Almost there
Goldarn it, I'm going to have to wait until this comes out before starting a new game...and the question is, will I want to continue my current one, knowing that this is coming? Oh, the dilemma!

RE: Almost there
Since these are changes in the executable and not the OOB, it would be possible for you to continue a current game with the upcoming patch. [:)]

You beauty. I'm gonna have to go and order BIN now as a thanks to Matrix for listening. Cheers!

OK Ron, Is the "Frogmouth" quote along with the "Yabba dabba dooo", a reference to the Flintstones episode in which Fred is chosen to play the "Frogmouth" ???
If so, not only am I amazed that I remember details about an episode of the Flintsones, but equally awed that someone else remembers it too. [:D]
