Realism options
sub doctrine: either both on or both off
FOW, adv. weather, allied damage control: all on
historical first turn: on or off (but see houserules if off)
vary setup: on or off
dec. 7 surprise: on
reinforcements: variable or extremely variable

Game options
auto sub: off
expansion, upgrade, replacements: all off
turn cycle: 1

house rules (if no historical first turn is chosen)
either a) Kido Butai (jap CVs) may only attack installations on turn 1 (airfield, port, ground units), no naval attack setting for the planes; in turn, the allied player doesn't give any orders whatsoever on turn one (no TF movement, no sub movement). he just sends the file back.
or b) no restrictions for the japanese player; in turn, the allied player may give orders to all existing TFs and all subs at sea at start. he may not form new TFs or send new subs to sea though. no orders to ground units or air units.

open slots: 5-19,22+
