A very good book to read

Post by bostonrpgmania »

Some of you are already aware of this book but recently I found a gem
"World War II Day by Day"
It is a collection of newspaper articles in chronological order
Reading through it is like living through WW II
I use this book to increase my immersiveness about the game that I play
highly recommeded

ps) there is a news paper articles about Patton incident with those soldiers in a hospital.

Sounds good. I'll have to check it out.

I've gone trolling in the archives of the NY Times to uncover more info about topics of interest. There's a great little article I found about how the U.S. forces landing in Normandy got some payback for the New Zealand forces that faced von der Heydte at Al am Halfa. It seems that vdH tried to bluff the Anzacs out of their position but was unsuccesful. In Normandy, the U.S. troops bluffed vdH out of his position with threats of massive air bombing. Somehow, the reporter tied this all together into a funny little article. I'll have to dig it up.
