The Tactical Shift - Combat Rosette

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. The Tactical Shift - Combat Rosette

Post by Adam Parker »

In section 26 the combat "Rosette" is shown. 26.2.2 states that the first two hexes attacked from each generates a +2 Tactical Shift for the attacker.

In the example shown, there are 2 green "lobes" on the rosette but 0 shift is being given (I note that the wording of the rosette explanation seems to taken verbatim from KP).

Is this correct or should the shift be +4?

The defender always starts with a -4

Therefore +2 +2 -4 = 0

Brilliant, thanks Joe. I remember something similar from KP but didn't put it together.

Btw I'm pretty certain this automatic Defender -4 shift has been left out of the BiN manual. I remember it in KP.
