Supply Clarification

Post by Dereck »

Correct me if I'm wrong but I just wanted to have someone else confirm or set me straight in my interpretation of base supply requirements.

If a base has Supplies Required of 281 that is the amount per day. So if I want to deliver enough supplies for approximately a month it would be 281 * 31 or 8711.

Is there something I'm missing or am I just trying to make it more complicated than it has to be?

Thanks.

It's definitely not per day. It's per week or two or so....it is a very fuzzy estimate.

Anybody know for sure what the period the supply required is for?

The manual says "per day in order to function at full efficiency" in section 9.1, page 157.

I think the listed amount required is what the units will use if they throw a big party... er, use supply at maximum burn rate in combat. [:'(]

I don't think it takes into account supplies that will be required for upgrades or construction in progress. If you're just sitting doing nothing it doesn't use very much at all -- sorry, I haven't tried to quantify it exactly.

if one of my bases starts to turn orange, i just send an amount of about 10000 supplies to it. This way, i won't have to worry about it for a few months.

I think "requirements" is the max daily possible use of supply, not the daily norm. No combat reduces supply expenditures remarkably, yet the "requirement" clearly isn't for idleness. As SvenXYZ says, plan for the worst.
