how do i get into my root drectory? to edit video.cfg

its the directory that starshatter was installed to

use explorer to find it, somewhere in program files under matrix games I belive

its destyer studios file bot it soesnt allow me to open the video ubless i use some program to open it do i use explorer ?

Its just a text file...you can open it with notepad. Just go to open then change it to 'all files' if video.cfg doesnt show up. Same thing with all the .def's if/once you start moding.
