I know it is off topic but will Yankee's ghost defeat good starting pitching. What are other people picks? I am for BEANTOWN.

The Babe sez ... Yanks in five.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

I'd like to see the Bosox win, too, but, you know, curses is curses ...

And I carry on anyhow.

I have to say that I don't care. I gave up on baseball after the 1994 strike, and I have never looked back.

I'm with you on that.

I just hope the Birds are there to take on the winner of the ALCS.

We have a winning record against both teams in post season play.

The ghost of the Babe shall be slain this year and the Dead Sox will finally beat the Yankees.

I'm with you, Blue. As long as St Louis is there in the end I could
care less who they beat.

It has been a long time for St Louis since they last won. The last time they were in a bad call cost them the series.

Yup. Basically killed my Expos. Screw major league sports until salary caps and profit sharing become the norm. Now I watch NFL football a bit, international soccer and rugby. My beloved hockey is screwed too. Good thing I drink too much and enjoy wargames.

Moving into the toilet bowl (Olympic stadium) killed the Expos.

Actually, that was in 1985..., in 1987 they lost to the Twins splitting the home games
(Won all three in Busch---lost all 4 in that silly baggie the Twins play in)

A guy from NY and one from Calgary with initial part of name Mad (my real name is not Mickey, Michael or any anything close.) both did not believe that ghost could beat a better team. Of course next year Pedro, Sammy Sosa, Derek Lowe, etc, etc may play for the Yankees but will they get a few southpaws.

Mike...

I hadn't seen your post. How you doing today? I feel like getting patched and sinking some ships and shooting down some planes. Best cure for a Sam Adams hangover.

Hell hath no fury like that of the Boss when He looses the back page of the NYPost to BoSox or the Mets. There is a certain 2nd baseman in Houston who may not be with Houston for much longer. And if he's smart, he'll let Cashman shore up the bullpen... signed "A NY'er lost in that strange place call Chicago."

The Yankees need another leader like Paul O'Neil, even people who did not like the Yankees admired Paul.
