Setting up multiplayer games

Post by toddtreadway »

Is there a Matrix chat room that can be used to set up multiplayer games, or is the only way to set them up by posting a message here and emailing IP#?

It would be nice if Matrix had some sort of Multiplayer matchmaking service that ALL their games used, either through Matrix or Gamespy or whatever.

Wargamer has something called BattleHQ that works sort of like GameSpy. It can be setup to launch the game for you, but you still have to manually exchange IP addresses.

Actually, setting up the game isn't so much the problem. It's more of a finding players to begin with problem. If there is a waiting room for people to go to, and you know that anyone in that room wants to play the game, it makes it much easier to set up a game.

I'll go check out the wargamer site.
