Is v2.3 worse than v2.2

Been playing v2.3 doing the enhanced Japanese scenario and found it very buggy.
Love this game but not v2.3. it broke a lot of things but fixed the subs!

The only problems I've heard people talk about in 2.30 was the new CD copy protection caused the game to not run in some CD drives. What sort of problems are you having?

Seems to work good for the Japanese, but my PBEM player can't seem to get the USN or Air to do much![&:]

I have the same problem. As I patch my game up it runs fine until I patch it to v. 2.30
Then it just looks at the drive for a moment and quits.
Someone mentioned something about copy protection, is there something to that and can it be fixed?

I'd also like to mention that my computer has never refused to run any game yet and I'm really kinda disappointed that a game has been out this long and still has so many bugs. I wish I had looked at the forum before I bought it!

Anyway, can anyone shed some light on this for me?
