Fed up

Post by wodin »

Im a little fed up.

The thing that annoys me most about the run up to this game is the lack of a website.

Matrix announces games and hey presto a website goes up straight away. However where is GoA website? No where to be found.

I know Frank has a lot on his plate but surely this is an issue for Matrix to sort out.

You've got websites up for all the other games even once just announced so MAtrix get a move on and sort this out.

Actually a good reply wodin. We do need more info and stuff on this game, look at the early post at how great they were and now how so so they are. Frank Matrix needs to give yu a little more respect! Tell Marc Schwanebeck to get us the proper amount of PR for this game, or no trips to Amsterdam this year!

Sorry guys but I'm the problem not Matrix. I'm the one that asked David to hold off on the website etc until the game is in testing. I find that once artwork is finished and a website is up with reports and screenshots etc it means I have little chance to change anything even if I really think the game needs it and it also means there's an inexorable pressure to get the thing out on the date I may have given as a possibility.

Basically, as anyone knows from my website I'm a "its done when its done" guy. I know that can piss people off to put it bluntly. Its the result of the problems I had when I rushed out the original ACW game 11 years ago. I still regret that and see no reason to repeat it. Please bear with me

Frank you havent pissed me off. Infact you are very high in my estimation of wargame designers. No other has taken the risk to make a WW1 game and thankgod you have. Im dont want you to rush the game. I want a quality product. However a website to satisfy the wargaming tastebuds would be superb. You have my money as soon as it comes out. No other game that has been made have I decided to purchase prior to reviews. This one is different and I hope all goes well.
Im a little concerned that some potential buyers prob dont know about the game because it doesnt have an actual webpage. They have to find this forum to even know about it. I came across Matrix by finding the Combat Leader website thus finding even more games.

Thank you. Once the game is back in playtesting it'll be with the new graphics and we'll have the website up asap.

Its not ALWAYS Matrix Games fault. [:D] But on a more serious note, we want the developers to have a real free control on there designs and development time so things can get done right. Yes we give input and offer help any way we can but the developer gets the final say. We feel the developer/publisher interactions need to be fair and even as much as possible.

You all know Frank's work and I am sure it will be worth the wait. I have seen some of Steve Ford's new graphics and all I can do is drool.

Ok I will stop teasing you all now.
