how can i stop my disembarking troops doing shock attacks on the turn they disembark??[&:][&:][&:]

Don't unload them onto atolls.

Seriously. If you happen to be landing at an Atoll, you have no choice. You are landing *into* combat and are fighting for the right to even unload. This is why the shock attack is automatic. There is no prep time to sort things out before fighting off the beachhead, you have to take the beach head first.

Morale of the story: Go big or stay home.

i shall try again and go BIG, VERY BIG, but in the mean time i'll just nip down to walmart and do a bit of recruiting i appear to be about two divisions short on my orbat???
