PBEM Combat save problem

Post by mc3744 »

Hello guys,

I've been playing UV for years and since the start of this year I've been playing PBEM.
All of the sudden in my last game the combat save I get from the IJN opponent is somehow 'cursed'.
If I run it more than once I see different results (all consistent with forces disposition) and the 'right one', the one consistent with the Intel report, can be anyone.

Any idea why it happens and how to stop it? [&:]

Thanks a lot [&o]

Hello MC3744 , I've seen up to three different combat replays from a single combat save . I chalk it up to FOW . You can only really be sure of damage done to your forces . Everything else is only " reported " damage done to the opposition . Even intel reports are not 100% accurate . Lots of near misses get reported as hits . For whatever reason only a/c losses for a turn seem to be exact . All the rest you take with a grain of salt . Regards ... HMcS

It is not FoW but a bug. I am not sure if they ever figured it out or not. I hope so. I've seen it happen in most of my PBEM games once or twice. It almost always happens to the Allied player. I have my Japanese opponent sent me his copy of the combat results( text ) and go by that. By this I mean attacks that are reported and do not happen, not just hits and misses.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's no FoW.

Are you saying it's random? It doesn't happen all the rime?
I've been playing PBEM 6 months and it's the first time it happens to me ... as far as I know.
So no workaround, but for the CS txt?

Thanks
