patch 7.0?

Post by Robban »

Hi everbody in the world!

What is the difference betwen the patch 7.0 which Mr Paul Webber send to me and the patch 7.0 in Matrix webbsite? I think The first one is bigger (2.85MB) then the last one (1.90MB).

Best regards,

Roger

I think the bigger one is version 7.1 and somebody forgot to change the version number. It's only Beta so far, anyway.

The one posted on the Matrix site is v7.0. The one Paul sends personally is the v7.1 beta patch. If you're still showing v7.0 after installing the patch from Paul, you've done something wrong.

No, you have misunderstanding. I really mean 7.0. That was the first one I got from Webber (three months ago). I don´t mean 7.1. What is the difference betwen 7.0 beta and 7.0 final? Maybe I´m cracy but I think the first one is bigger. Which can I use?

Hm, strange, I got it from here

http://www.fprado.com/armorsite/spwaw_downloads.htm

with the note to please send bug reports to Paul Vebber. Can anybody who has the patch v7.1 Beta directly from Paul confirm that the version no. is correctly displayed as 7.1?

Yes, I can verify that the beta 7.1 patch from Paul V. does indeed show up as "7.1" on the splash screen.

The other one, from Fabio's site, I understand is somewhat outdated. It does not show up as 7.1, instead it shows up as 7.0.

BTW, when I installed MCLV, it recognized the mech.exe v7.1 I had installed and skipped it, the logfile.txt shows this was done. Although I understand the user is suposed to be asked which installation is to be made - full or just LV "upgrade" - I was not asked, it just went ahead and did the right thing.

Could someone send me the 7.1 MCLV patch. I'm in the Defense of Dubno battle, and have had to finish it 3 times because of the dreaded "Waiting for all players to synch" problem. Thanks!
