waiting for all players to sync... error?

I just finished 10 turns of the third mission of Desert Fox. At the end of the British phase I saw a message "waiting for all players to sync".
Now it lasts for an hour and I don't know what to do except quitting the game by killing the process from Task Manager( I have Win2k)
Since I did quite well, first I'd like to save the game somehow but I can't.
Is it possible to save the game by copying some file?
The only thing I can do in the game is opening chat menu (by pressing enter). Nothing else seems to work. Since I can't quit, I can't update save file this way. Is there any other way?

It is a known issue with 7.0. You mays want to email Paul Vebber for the beta of 7.1. It fixed the sync bug.

Thanks. I'll try 7.1. But I'm still didn't quit and I'm trying to find a way to save the game. Is it possible or should I give up and start from the beginning?

I gave up and killed the game, after all.
I'll restart the mission tomorrow.
