incorrect disk

I'm having trouble playing UV for the first time - from the game start menu I'm told that the wrong disk is inserted which is crazy, and I can't get any further. I've downloaded the latest patches to v.2.3. I'm running Win xp (SP2), Athlon 1.7, 512mb, Nvidia GFX5600 with latest drivers.
Any ides anyone?

sumthing might be wrong with ur disk

i tried getting UV to run for over 4 months

then i got a brand new computer i built

and it started right up[:D]

try it on a friends computer, see if that wrks

if it wrks on his, but not on urs, then u need to upgrade sumthing lol

for mine, im betting it was either =

1. processor
2. video card
3. sound card

i know that doesnt help much but[&:]

Maybe your game was already V2.30 on disk and by using the 2.30 patch something was damaged ?
Or it's a copy-protection issue with your drive

I had this problem and found I had the UK/Europe version that was sent out patched to 2.30 before distribution. Delete everything you have on UV then reinstall from the disk. Run the game and check the version you have. I found mine was 2.30 and eveything was fine from then on.
