Welcome to TOS! always good to see a new face!

This forum or the main forum are fine for posting any questions that you may have.

As far as the best titans... It's a tough call, It depends on a lot of factors, like personal playstyle and squad makeup, jock skills, titan size catagory, etc, etc, etc...

For the recon class of titans, my favorite CC ones are the Swift Death, Fireball, or Jackel. For ranged titans in the recons I personally like energy-based designs, like the Rapier, Quantum, or Dragonfly. Since the weapon systems are IMO as close to balanced as in any game I've run across, it really boils down to playstyle and personal taste.

BTW.. some of the titans I mentioned are from the 'extended unoffical' titan database that can be downloaded from the forums. It has tweaked most of the designs that come with the original game and adds quite a few new ones that people here on the forum have maade.

It really boils down to your style of fighting, which will change as you grow in experience with the game.

Some like brute force (200 ton Titans with AC20s and Teslas), but I like finesse... I prefer knocking my opponent down (Black Ray Gun) and trying to take out the jock to maximize salvage.

When it coems to the actual Titan design, I make all my own. I'll start with an existing design, but I always end up modifying them to match my play style... and no two Titans are the same. [:D]

Dragon - if you ( or anyone else reading this) wanna play 1v1 with me sometime, I'm occasionally available at icq#101966659 or aim#redcoyote27, I'm -8 gmt. If I'm online chances are I'm ready to play or talk shop or give you some pointers or some combination of these.
