Quick question on Land Combat / AI invasion

Post by CatLord »

I play a couple of turn in solo last night before engaging an opponent by PBEM (3 days a turn), because I am a bit rusty to UV.

I notice the Japanese AI is building up an army in the very same hex I have a well protected base.

BUT it doesn't attack me (probably the odd are not in its favour).

Strangeness is, I cannot attack him with my LCU either [&:] There seems not to be the option... I can bomb him with plane and ship, but cannot use my infantry squadron for an attack ? Very weird.

That said, the AI is not conducting an amphibious assault, its troops come marching in.

I will soon convoy a lot of troops to attack the base they are coming from, but what will happen after that ? How am I going to get rid of these sneaky nippon squads ?
