Virus??

Just installed the game and my virus scanner came up with the tos.exe and the .bak file has having a virus and all ive done is install the game and used the updater to get the latest version from the trueupdater? can anyone explain this?[&:]

bad virus scanner ? Get v1.21 from Matrixgames download area.

norton& yup patched from website using updater 1.2[8|] suggestions?[&o]

My suggestion :

1. download v1.21 from download page. Ignore TrueUpdate.
2. try a different av program.

I wouldn't be surprised if Norton identified *itself* as a virus... it had the same problems back in win3.11 days and has never been improved...

Off the top of my head I recommend McAfee, iirc they used to be pretty decent and probably still are. There may be better/cheaper/etc though. I don't bother with an antivirus proggy so feel free to take my advice with a metric ton of salt. :D

ok well reinstalled the prog,getting update later tonight,removed the nort(some 2hrs later off my system since it didnt want to leave)[:@] But all is working normally.THanks for all help.

You don't want to leave your machine without a Virus scanner...

Make sure that your Virus Signatures are up to date. Connect to the Internet and do
a "Live Update" at least once every two weeks.
