no buttons just stripes

I just downloaded the game and installed it, but I was not able to play it. On the monitor I saw just some interference stripes instead of buttons at the intro screen and there was no mouse pointer graphics. With randomly clicking around I finally made it to the scenario surface, but again, no buttons. (move, charge etc.) Just by clicking on the interference stripes I was able to see the tooltips, nothing more. Unit graphics are visible normal, terrain too.

Normally I dont have problems with playing demos or games on my machine (just 1/2 a year old) Maybe you could help? thanks

Did you install all components? It is possible to decline the .net framework installation, but it is needed for this game. Same for the managed directx (it adds something to directx, bit too technical for me). If you've installed everything you may want to check for driver updates to your graphics card. These happen quite frequently and may make a difference.

also, make sure all your video drivers are current. that is most typical of the problem you are describing. You can send us your DXDialog files and game error logs to the matrix support site too
