Where the sound effect came from?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Where the sound effect came from?

Post by MwR »

This is to the developing teams:

I've been itching(itching almost to death) to ask this question, ever since I got the SPWaW:

Where you guys get the sound effects?

Why I ask this? Because I damn sure that I've heard some of the sound effects from war movies like Saving Private Ryan and various war doccumentaries.

I'm with you MwR! I know the sound of a Garand clip ejecting when I hear it. Somebody did their homework.

Also, the 30cal MG, 20mm flak, Thompson SMG, these came straight from the Saving Private Ryan!

Good thing that someone else notice this too! <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

Back when the SPWAW-specific (non-SP3) sounds were added, I think it was verion 3 or 4, SPR had just come out on VHS/DVD.

I know what you guys mean about the sounds.
I had just bought myself a new sound system when I started playing spwaw. Firing a .50 cal, I could hear this funny "tinkling" sound after it fired.
Then I realised it was the disintegrating links tumbling down the side of the vehicle
